Unzip the pack and install the .xml-files via the Joomfish installer (find that at Components -> Joomfish -> Content Elements -> Install). In order to get the 'Settings' section working correctly you need to add an 'id' column to the settings-database table of your JV-LinkDirectory installation (credits to webgobe.rowho did that for the JV-Linx component). To do that execute the SQL-query found in the 'readme'-file within the package making sure to replace the default 'jos_' table prefix with the one you use.
Note: Altering your database is only necessary if you want to translate the 'settings' section of JV-LD. If you only need to translate categories and/or links you should be fine without it.
